Auroras are being seen tonight! Fairbanks already has faint auroras low on the horizon! We are waiting for the earth to rotate a little for the show to be overhead. Northern states may see lights soon, if not now. Be sure to check again in the morning if it is still dark out. Time of this post: 550pm Alaska time.
The CME hit during our day here in Alaska, and northern Europe is seeing auroras where it is not cloudy. The Kp level is 4. The show may continue on tonight for the upper portion of the contiguous USA, Canada, and Alaska.
