the data looks great, but we have clouds

The Kp level is 2, expect 3. Southward Bz. This indicates a great chance of auroras for the interior and north, but we have a lot of clouds in North Pole. We are on the lookout tonight and will update this post as needed.

Yellowknife does have great auroras tonight.

Update: the clouds parted temporarily in the early morning hours, and the aurora came out with a Kp 3. Then the clouds covered the sky again as the sun rose.
