Kp 6 forecast tonight, currently Kp 4

G2 storm warning currently in effect. This was sudden news as the forecast was a bit off and never panned out….until now.
Currently at Kp 4 with solar winds at 470 km/sec, Bz at 5 nT, and changes rapidly.

Auroras are being seen in the northern states and Canada. Alaska, has lights now also, but it is cloudy in many areas. Blowing snow in Fairbanks, with many pullouts not plowed.

The northern lights could be out all night long. They come and go. Be patient.
