G1 storm warning issued!

Expect Kp 5 tonight! The data is looking excellent for auroras tonight. Auroras have been showing over Scotland, Norway, Iceland. Canada is seeing nice auroras tonight, and all of Alaska should expect auroras. The aurora is being seen in northern Minnesota, but there is cloudy weather in surrounding areas.

The weather in most of Alaska is looking poor with snow and clouds.

Juneau and Ketchikan look like they are having the clearest weather.

Canada is seeing great auroras in many locations where it is clear.

Even if it is cloudy where you are, try to see the aurora anyway. Any openings in the clouds will give you a chance at seeing green. Your camera may pick up greens thru the clouds.

Tomorrow night’s forecast is Kp 4 with a chance of Kp 5.
