The aurora can be seen in North Pole, Eielson AFB, Delta, Ft Yukon, and surrounding areas to the northeast, a little low on the horizon (if you have trees in the way, you may not be able to see it). Kp 1.

Also seen in Yellowknife, NT, and the north slope in AK.

Night Sky Star and Comet Viewing-

Sunday, March 10th 8pm-9:30pm AND
Sunday March 17th 8pm-9:30pm

Friends of Creamer’s Field and Fairbanks Astronomical Unit will be hosting two star parties at Creamer’s Farmhouse on Sunday, March 10th and Sunday, March 17th starting at 8 PM. Comet PANSTARRS may be visible after sunset on one of these two nights. Large telescopes will be setup in the Creamer’s Field Farmhouse parking lot for viewing, and astronomers will be on hand to answer questions. Warm up in the Creamer’s Farmhouse with hot drinks and cookies. $3.00 donation appreciated. Event will be cancelled if it is cloudy. Call Friends of Creamer’s Field at 452-5162 for more information.
