Overcast skies, Kp 3

The weather is poor in Fairbanks. It’s wet and windy. Ice could form on the roadways. And the clouds are thick. The Kp level is 3, so if it were clear, we may have a pretty good show, in addition, our safety is more important.

Wasilla, Anchorage, Southeast are all showing overcast skies in the overnight forecast. The aurora forecast is pretty good. But viewing it will be a challenge. It will depend on the weather in your area of the state. A big show is not expected.

A brief aurora was seen in Delta tonight, but it is very windy. The aurora was also reported in parts of Canada tonight.
