this is it! Tonight is the night! More info as we get closer to the night sky. While you’re waiting, take a nap and charge your camera batteries! The CME has swept past the ACE spacecraft. This means we will see aurora in a few hours (for Alaska, as soon as it gets dark).
Aurora now! 1144pm in the Fairbanks areas! UPDATE: 115am aurora is lower on the horizon, but still bright and strong.
It’s not even 6pm and the aurora is out over the interior of Alaska. No reports yet from any other areas. Europe had a great show today, even northern Ireland got a show. Yellowknife’s skies are crazy with aurora, and tonights Kp is 3 so far. Let’s hope this trend continues for a great show…
