faint aurora
A faint aurora can be seen over Fairbanks areas. It is very hard to see and it is cloudy in the direction you want to look (from Fairbanks/North Pole). No alerts will be sent out. The Kp level is less than 1. The sun can still be seen on the horizon.
No CME hits, but aurora was seen in some areas
The big show expected did not happen. Some areas saw low aurora, some saw faint streaks, but the CME’s never hit. Yellowknife did see a pretty good show despite the data. Some folks’ cameras in the Fairbanks area picked up aurora, but it was very hard to decipher with the naked eye. If you had…
