The clouds were heavy but did open enough to show the bright green auroras tonight in North Pole, AK.
The aurora can be seen in Alberta, Northwest Territories, the northern part of the haul road in Alaska, and the interior of Alaska. Fairbanks can see the aurora mixed with clouds. Delta can see the aurora. It has been faint in AK so far as of midnight, but is brightening. Kp 1.
North Pole, Alaska aurora. It turned out to be a great night for auroras. Green bursting in the sky, with wisps overhead.
The aurora can be seen in North Pole, Eielson AFB, Delta, Ft Yukon, and surrounding areas to the northeast, a little low on the horizon (if you have trees in the way, you may not be able to see it). Kp 1. Also seen in Yellowknife, NT, and the north slope in AK.
