Aurora can be seen from Cleary Summit (Steese Hwy, near Fairbanks) if you are headed out, or via the SALMON webcam or aurorawebcam.com It’s too low on the horizon to see it from town in the Fairbanks area. It may or may not strengthen tonight. We will keep you posted.

Faint aurora band in the sky over the Fairbanks area, not quite overhead. Very faint if you are near any kind of light pollution. Some clouds. Report in from Nordale Rd (open sky, dark), North Pole, Cleary.

The past few nights have brought us very faint auroras in the Fairbanks area. They were also fairly low on the horizon. Most people probably would not have seen them if they had gone outside.
