Tonight’s aurora forecast is looking excellent for the whole state of Alaska. The forecast for the next 3 nights is “enhanced”. Quite to active and unsettled conditions expected. Charge your cameras and let’s go aurora hunting!! Also for Canada and maybe the upper portion of the continental United States.
Big aurora band is being seen across the whole sky in the North Pole, Fairbanks areas. Kp 3. Other areas possible. Update: Ft Greely, Eielson, JBER, Palmer, Big Lake, Nuiqsut, Talkeetna have lights Time: 11:15 pm Alaska time
Fairbanks is currently seeing the lights. Current Kp level is 4. Great data. Everyone in the state of AK, look for lights. Look low, look north northeast. Whitehorse, YT also reporting aurora sightings. Time of this post 930pm Alaska time.
