The weather in the Fairbanks area as well as the Anchorage area looks poor for aurora viewing. The current Kp level is 2, and the forecast is good, but chances are we will not see anything unless the clouds depart. If it is clear where you are in Alaska, have a look outside late tonight.

The aurora borealis can be seen overhead in the Fairbanks and Delta Junction areas. Other areas of Alaska have a good chance, if the weather is clear. Kp 4. 9pm.

Excellent chance of lights tonight. Wisconsin is reporting lights (look north and low on the horizon). Ontario and Manitoba are reporting lights, Yellowknife, NT, has faint lights low on the horizon at the moment. Alaska, expect lights at nightfall. Current Kp 4. Time of this post 840pm Alaska time.
