Last night no CME but some auroras seen
Last night, we hoped for at least a glancing blow, but the CME was determined to not be earth directed. This means that the big show was not seen, only a short dancing aurora about 5am. Lights out now and expected all through the night
The aurora is out tonight (Wed night into Thurs morning) in much of Alaska. Fairbanks, Delta, Anchorage, Wasilla, Cordova all reporting in. We expect the lights to last all night (on and off). Check the skies again before the sun rises. Tomorrow night we are expecting lights as well. The Kp level is 3.
