Fairbanks is currently seeing the lights. Current Kp level is 4. Great data. Everyone in the state of AK, look for lights. Look low, look north northeast. Whitehorse, YT also reporting aurora sightings. Time of this post 930pm Alaska time.

The aurora forecast for tonight is “quiet to active” according to NOAA Space Weather. As of 630pm Alaska time, the Kp level is 2. If the aurora is seen as forecast, the entire state of Alaska may have a chance at seeing the lights. Later on into the night, look to the north, northeast, and…
