The aurora came back and is dancing in the sky over the Fairbanks areas. Mostly faint. Kp 0. More of the same expected thru the night.

The aurora can be seen high on the horizon in the Fairbanks areas at 9:15pm. Kp 0. Not much is expected from tonight, but the sky is full of stars, so viewing should be nice and clear. Update 12:00am: the aurora is trying to come back but remains low on the horizon. This could happen…
It has been quiet, but we are still here watching and waiting
The aurora has been quiet lately, and the weather in Fairbanks has been snowy and cloudy. We still look at the data every night in anticipation of the northern lights. NOAA Spaceweather forecast says there is a chance of auroras on Christmas Eve. That would be great!
