quiet lately, with hope in a few days

It has been a quiet time for aurora in the Fairbanks area the past few days. Low on the horizon displays have been seen in the late hours, and clouds have obscured most of it.  The forecast this weekend is more quiet displays low on the horizon, also more clouds and rain. We expect a change of aurora forecast in the next couple days, as there is activity on the sun. More later.
