It is 3am, and the Bz remains north. Fairbanks: The aurora remains faint and a big steady band. The camera can pick up green, but to the naked eye, not much can be seen if you are in the city, and only a faint spray across the sky if you are away from any light pollution. Anchorage areas: the aurora can be seen low on the horizon and faint to the naked eye. The camera can pick up a bit more green. We were all hoping for a better show, but with the Bz north, this is just not possible. Tomorrow’s forecast according to NOAA Spaceweather is looking good. We will try again.
The lights are getting bright again after midnight, Fairbanks North Pole areas. Ready for another show? Kp 2. Time is 12:25am
