The last few days have been either cloudy, or the aurora has only been seen in the early morning hours for only short periods. By early morning, we mean 3am, 4am. Even though the kp index rose to a 4 one night, and other factors looked pretty good for us to see the aurora here…
Aurora borealis reported toward the northeast of Eielson AFB, North Pole, and Fairbanks. Expect moderate to active displays during the night.
The aurora can be seen to the northeast. Sporadic, bright green. Clouds and smoke also in some areas.
