The all-sky cam points straight up into the sky over North Pole, Alaska. The night starts off very cloudy and hazy, then when it clears, beautiful purple and green aurora can be seen at 0:46. The sun rises a little after 3am as we are approaching the midnight sun in the subarctic of Alaska.

This night, the Kp level was between 5 and 8. The Bt was over 30nT, and solar winds between 550-700 km/sec. This was the night the aurora was seen very far south. For Europe, Cornwall was seeing lights! In the USA, Arizona and California saw it!

This webcam is old, from 2012.
North Pole, in the Fairbanks area, is a great place to see the northern lights between mid August to mid April, with enough hours for viewing. Between May and July there is too much sunlight.
Webcam from the night of April 23/24, 2023
The aurora was out on the short night of April 20/21, 2023 over North Pole Alaska. The webcam takes a photo every 30 seconds.
