The aurora has strengthened again and can be seen in most of the state where it is clear. This includes the Fairbanks areas, Anchorage, Homer, JBER, Kenai, Wasilla, Palmer, and more. The aurora has been quiet lately, and the weather in Fairbanks has been snowy and cloudy. We still look at the data every night in anticipation of the northern lights. NOAA Spaceweather forecast says there is a chance of auroras on Christmas Eve. That would be great!
