There is an aurora overhead in the Fairbanks area. It is faint and competing with the moonlight. The Kp level is 1. It is now 9pm. Expect more of the same into the night.
The aurora has been reported sporadically tonight so far, as of midnight, but the Bz is north, meaning that it can’t be seen in a steady show. Only a portion of the aurora particles are visible.
