Be ready for auroras tonight in Alaska
The aurora is expected to show in Alaska tonight. It is currently being seen in Europe. The time of this post is 330pm.
faint glow in the Anchorage areas, south central AK
The aurora can be seen faint and low in the Anchorage areas, MatSu Valley, and the peninsula areas. Homer, Eagle River, JBER chiming in. Kp 2, time 11:45pm Solid clouds in the Fairbanks areas tonight.

At 10:20 or so, the lights came out in Fairbanks. They are faint, but could be ramping up for a show. The Kp level is 0 and the Bz is north. Awaiting the southward Bz!
Fairbanks has auroras! 830pm much of the night, and in the morning too!
The northern lights can be seen toward the north in the Fairbanks areas. Kp 1. Time 830pm. Update: the lights faded and fluctuated due to the Bz, but have returned about 1130pm at Kp 2. 2nd update: auroras were seen much of the night, and especially around 430am to 7am where they spread across the…
