The aurora can be seen toward the north in the Fairbanks area. Kp 1. Time of this post 205am
decent show, but faint in the moonlight
The aurora is out in the Fairbanks area. Look north. Kp 2. Time, midnight. Moonlight may wash away detail. I am currently away from cell service and my signal is spotty at best. Alerts did go out. Texts were successful, phone calls may or may not have gone through. -Amy
Faint show all night long
The aurora was faint all night, mixed with clouds. It can still be seen now at 615am, in Fairbanks.
Good chance for auroras tonight in AK. Kp 2 right now (7pm)
Possible G1 storm happening now, current Kp level is 2, could get to 5, we shall see. The sunlight is still very bright as of 7pm, so we wait for darkness in Fairbanks.
