no auroras from G1 storm, tonight, quiet to active

Absolutely nothing became of the predicted G1 storm. We had “typical” auroras in interior Alaska, all weak displays.

Although the G1 technically wasn’t cancelled, as far as I can tell, the new forecast for tonight is simply quiet to active. Data has been and is weak as of this post at 1105pm Alaska time. Clouds are forming in the interior, and Anchorage is socked in. There are some hardy souls camped out at Hatcher Pass hoping for something on this Sunday night. Many people have Monday off.

If the scientists are working tomorrow, they may have an explanation as to why we never saw bigger auroras, otherwise, we wait for Tuesday. Have a great night!
