G1 storm warning in effect, cloudy in many areas of Alaska

Tonight, the forecast is unsettled to active, with NOAA sending out a warning today for G1 storm conditions tonight. The Kp level expected is a 5. This is good news for aurora watchers with clear skies. In North Pole, the sky is completely covered in clouds at 415pm, and it was lightly snowing in Fairbanks. Anchorage is looking mostly cloudy. If conditions change, be ready for the show! The aurora may reach down into the northern states tonight, be on alert, be ready to head out!
