The expected CME that was supposed to hit yesterday, or last night, never arrived. Sporadic, faint lights appeared randomly. Tonight, the aurora is trying to make an appearance. Look to the northeast in the Fairbanks area. Kp 1. Another CME is expected to hit in a couple days, a weekend aurora possible!
The Fairbanks area can see the northern lights across the entire sky toward the north. It is a long band. The Kp level is 0, and the time of this post is 12:25am
Red auroras can be seen overhead in the Fairbanks area. Faint and low lights are being reported in the Anchorage areas. Kp 0. The show may get better, but not as strong as anticipated. Time of this post 1125pm
