aurora is out!
a great but short storm was out earlier tonight, and the aurora is coming out again at midnight! Fairbanks, North Pole, as well as many parts of AK. KP level 5.

Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota are reporting aurora, and we suspect other northern states can see it as well. Tonight is THE night to get out and look. We will be keeping watch tonight. This picture depicts the auroral oval and shows where the aurora has been detected. If the trend holds, tonight will be spectacular…

Fairbanks and North Pole reporting aurora! To the northeast. Mid to low on the horizon. Yellowknife has overhead displays. The night may produce more, but it probably won’t be as grand as the aurora in Yellowknife tonight.
