There is currently an X-class flare in progress. Possible auroras in a few days for areas where it gets dark at night. More information later as data becomes available.
Fairbanks areas have auroras, but faint due to sunlight and thru clouds.
JBER, Anc, and MatSu have auroras! Possible low on the horizon in the Kodiak and Southeast Alaska areas. Kp 3. Time 1240am
Although light in Anchorage, the aurora is being seen sporadically in that area, as well as the MatSu Valley. The Bz is currently north.
