Auroras are forecast for Monday night with an expected Kp level of 4, and Tuesday night, Kp 5. These auroras are from the coronal hole high speed stream.
Active auroras seen overhead tonight in the Fairbanks areas and interior. Facing north from south central, and lower on the horizon from points south. Entire state of Alaska.
The auroras are being seen in many areas of Alaska. Homer, Kenai, Palmer, and Wasilla, are seeing lights. If Fairbanks was clear, we would be seeing lights over the whole sky. If it is clear where you are, look up, or north.
