Aurora Science Classes announced for Fairbanks AK

We are happy to announce Aurora Science Classes this season in Fairbanks, Alaska. The dates are March 7, 9, 12, 13, and 14. Pick one date that suits you best. The class is $69 per person and the details are here. (link obsolete)
Each class we will present the science of the aurora, plus how to see it, how to tell your friends about the forecast and data, and participate in discussions on facebook in ABN group (and of course other groups and forums)!

This will be a fun event for the novice and beginner, as well as the aurora chasers who know a bit about the aurora.

Food and drinks are provided!
Bring your camera and stay late to catch the aurora.
Meet new friends who enjoy the same hobby as you.

Aurora related business owners and operators are welcome. Bring your business cards.
Visitors to Fairbanks are welcome! Have a vacation like no one else and enjoy the aurora from a locals point of view while learning more about it.
Residents, come meet new friends, and those who you have seen online, but have not met in person.

We held this class last year and had a lot of fun. Now this year is bigger and better, and we hope you join us.

To reiterate:
You will receive a lesson on the science of the aurora and how to read the data to determine if the aurora is out, was out, or will be out.
You will be provided with dinner or refreshment and a variety of beverages.
You will meet like minded people.
You will be able to photograph the aurora *if it makes an appearance!
You can share a ride if needed.
This makes a great date night, photographer social, facebook group meetup, solo adventurist, science nerd, aurora lover, tourist who wants something different, cabin fever get away, and more. FUN TIME OUT!!!
