Prepare for auroras tonight in the interior of Alaska tonight, Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Also, the forecast is calling for auroras on Wed night into Thursday morning for possibly the whole state.
Despite all the activity on the sun recently and despite great forecasts with incoming CMEs, we have yet to see the aurora put on display other than a low band on the horizon last night (North Pole, Alaska). The forecast says that tomorrow night (Sunday night/Monday morning), we may see a show.

The aurora is faint tonight, but bright enough to see away from city lights. Kp 0, 1. The stars are simply amazing tonight, and the milky way can be seen.
